I'm fairly new to the whole LS1 game and am looking to put a cam in my car. The Mods I have done as of right now are catback,headers,lid,. When I purchase my cam I will also get the full cam package to go along(retainers,pushrods,seals,springs). Also some other goodies(ls6intake,ls2timing chain, ported tb ect.)

My car as of now is my only mode of transportation. I would to make 400rwhp N/A and still have my car streetable. Also I would like it to sound like its got a cam in it. I was leaning towards tsp 231/237 .598 .595 112 LSA.

What do u think? Will this be streetable and capable of producing 400rwhp on a N/A motor with stock heads?

Yeah it'll be streetable but thats about as big as I would go if its an everyday car. But whats streetable to you might not be streetable to others. I would say hook up with some guys with Fbods and see how their car runs and make your decision from there. But if you want to make 400rwhp it'll be hard without heads. No matter how big of a cam you go, she'll still need to breathe.

Always a very good idea. The 231/237 has been phased out and replaced with the 233/239. It would make a good daily driver cam. Wouldn't be big enough for me, but that's something you have to find out and decide for yourself.

If you have a manual consider gears, but remember that you won't be doing any racing from a dig with the stock rear end. At least not any that involves actually hooking.
