Default stuck in 4th

I have a 2002 ws-6 ON my way home yesterday I had a prob. I hit 2nd gear to pass another car went to 3rd then 4th but somehow i got stuck in 4th. What the deal the shifter is stuck bigger than sh@t. the car drives just fine as far as the clutch engaging no slipping what soever. its even stuck there when the cars cut off. I just had a dual friction Centerforce put in and 60 miles later i sheared off 2 of the 6 bolts that bolts the the ring gear plate to the diff.but i lucked up and found a complete rear end for $250 . I went ahead and got the comp t/a cover, panhard bar, and traction bars and now this problem 400 miles later I took the shifter out of the tranny to see if it was hung up somehow but no luck. could it be the shift fork??? and if so what else should i upgrade while im in there the car has 95000 miles on it so the way I drive I'm sure something else has a few nicks and scratches on it and how much money am i looking at with a complete rebuild w/ syncros , keys blocker rings steel fork?
