New LS1 Owners - Newbie Tech - Will I pass Cali smog?

I just bought a car that came from Virginia and plan on tajing it to get smogged as soon as I get the title. Should I be worried about not passing smog?Are these cars manufactured to be 50 state legal? The 1999 Chevy SS has a very good carfax and service history behind it and has no mechanical or electrical problems and is in stock condition w/89k. Should I do a pre-test first and see how it performs or should I just get a regular one? Thanks in advance for your answers.

You shouldn't have any problem passing if everyting is in good mechanical order, and yes the car is legal in CA.
