Default Why?

Why does my gear shift slip out of third and forth when it is in gear...to put it in a better way.....It slips out like if I was pressing in the clutch but im not!

Trans is shot. Need a rebuild. Synchros probably.

yeah that would be the forks my friend, it all starts from someone resting their hands on the stick, or little things like that. Then comes the grinding into third or fourth, then the forks need to be replaced. Price of that, I do not know, but I just started grinding into thrid the other week, damn it!!!

Mine does it in third. I dont mind it because it doess not happen often. It'll get fixed when it goes out.

i dont think resting your hand on the stick would do any damage??i just dont see how that could happen unless when you rest your hand you are gently trying to pull it out of gear not knowing it.
