with a 95 you can use a late 700 converter early 700 converters and six cylinder cars had a 27 spline input shaft along with 200-4r you have a 30 spline, however the 95 is the first year of modulated lock up so if you do use a 700 or 4l60e pre 95 it will have a different feel, the only 4l60e converter you can use is a 99 and up because the o ring for lock up is in another location

So we can use all 30 spline 700 and all 200 converters.

The only ones you can use are 1984 1/2 to 1996 or 1997 V8 and 4.3 liter V6 700R4, 4L60, 4L60E.
2004R's never had 30 spline converters.

The transmission will have PWM cast on the pump if it is pulse width modulated lock up.
If you use an older converter in a PWM trans it might throw trouble codes. You can install a PWM conversion valve in the valve body to eliminate this and get a more firm lock up and eliminate lock up codes.
Later PWM converters can be used in older non PWM transmissions.

You might also run accross a rebuilt old style converter with new style clutch material. If the rebuilder put the proper sticker on it you can ID the TCC information.
