Default Car has no power and shakes

Just got done with my pacesetter install and as far as I know there are no leaks. However, in driving the car home it has absolutely no power, especially in the midrange and it starts to shake. It does not accelerate very smooth. Does the computer need to readjust or do I have some other kind of problem going on?

Ya, I thought I checked them all pretty well, but I will do it again after the car cools. Is this behavior common after LTs are installed.

Maybe the knock sensors. Is anything touching? It might think there's detonation. Another vote for ignition hook-ups.

Another vote for spark plug wires. Make sure that the coil side has clicked twice for each wire, and that the plug side is on there firmly.

Will check wires again, on my way to the gym the car was bucking/surging under acceleration every now and then.

Would the bucking and surging be a result of the spark plugs?

Check your 02s, mine did the same thing and ended up being one of the 02 plugs was resting against my header and melted and the metal in the plug was touching and reaking havoc on my computer.

I'm gonna go ahead and give my faith full answer. Check the 02's. It has happened to me twice that I burnt the wires on the 02's, Each time this would happen I would get a random misfire code or a specific code like po306 for the random misfire on cylinder 6. But some times it wouldn't throw a code at all. But in affect it had nothing to do with anything associated with that cylinder, like plugs, wires, injector, coilpack. Look for burnt wires on the 02's especially if the car was driving fine for the first couple of minutes.

Car has never driven fine since I have installed the headers, when its parked and I rev it it's fine. But when it's under load it bogs, sometimes bucks, and is just down on power in general. Im also throwing codes as well.

Havent had a chance to have them read yet, so Im not sure. I will give MORE a call tomorrow, then maybe go to autozone and have the codes read.

Let us know good luck, I wouldn't really worry about it to much.

I'm going with the plug/ plug wires. When my brother installed his last month his was doing the exact same thing. I looked in the bay and saw the plug wire not fully plugged in. You have to push it kinda hard for that second click.

I vote for the O2s. Check codes. Especially if as you say at initial idle /start up it seems fine- Meaning the O2s are not online yet and you are still in the open loop fuel tuning. I have had these symptoms /situation before and it was one of the "front," O2s- they do the fuel- Short of having a code reader at your disposal wait until the car is cool and swap the front sensors to the back-one side at a time

Sounds like what mine did to a T. Under no load it seems to run fine but as soon as you try and move it "chug chug chug chug chug" I would bet money there is an exposed 02 wire somewhere.

Well, car did not make it to work today, stalled three times before I decided to take it home. Made an appointment with MORE Performance on friday. My rear O2's have simms, Maybe the front two are exposed. This may be a stupid question, but what am I looking for.
