The way the dealership explained it is that the seal that came on are cars will leak. It has something to do with the design and the replacement is a new design with ridges on both sides of the seal. The Leak comes from the pinion seal, the front of the diff. You cant miss the oil all over your diff. Good luck

Some one putting a seal in and not preloading the pinion back will do it! The ones in the mastersets I use are pretty good!Out of the dozens of 10 bolts I've built everyone of them are still dry as a bone!I had three seals put in at a dealer while my car was under warranty and they all leaked! What a bunch of retarded douce bags!When It got out of warranty put one in my self when I checked how much preload was on the pinion I got a big fat goose egg" 0". Pissed me off a little!Some people just don't even need to touch cars mustless work on them!
