Setup feedback
Guys,
I need some feedback on my setup.
Current setup:
Stock short block
TEA Stage 1.5 heads
G5X1 cam (228/232 .588/.575 112+4)
MAC mid length headers
LS6 intake
Ported TB
ASP pulley
TCI 4000 stall
3.73 gears
The car runs great but I want more power. What do you all feel will make the biggest improvement to my setup?
Long tube headers
FAST 90/90
AFR 205 heads
Any suggestions?
Thanks
John

Replied in Mod section too:
Retard your cam 4 degrees, Add the FAST 90/90, and add more gear (like 4.10s). Retarding the cam will raise your power peak about 200 rpm and will give you another 10 rwhp, the FAST 90/90 will give you 10-15 rwhp (even more if it's ported), and the gear will help you 60 better and use the higher powerband better. You'll gain 2-3 tenths with those changes.
Keep the Macs. They're not holding you back as much as you'd think. If the TEAs are good, you may not gain enough to justify the conversion cost of going to the AFRs (as much as I love them).
