There's a 99 Vette with a Magnuson for sale that looks good, too.

I was gonna sell mine, but changed my mind after I found out what little I could get for it, and that my shift light has been coming on 500 RPM too early :bang:

Be intresting to see what I left on the table, knowing that now.

Mark (C5 Pig) was/is only selling his car so he could buy a new Z06 I think but it's still a shame to see happen. :nono:
I personally may NEVER sell my Z28, I love that car.

I miss having a quick car. The GTO is a slug and it doesn't make sense to do much with it....

In my case I was just bored with what I had, that happens....

I don't get it either. I was just posting on another board how my last F-Body driving friend parted with his car (a '68 SS) last weekend. :bang: I can't imagine not having a fun car at all times. The expense? Realistically it's not terribly more than having any other "nice" car, and gas consumption is no worse than SUVs everyone seems to love. Even the people who say they need something more "practical" I think are full of it too. Fold the seats down and you actually have MORE storage space than a lot of other cars. As far as kids...I think once it's a toddler I'd have no issue toting him/her around in the car, and if the mother has a halfway practical car that you also have access to it's a total nonissue. I think most guys are just whipped and forced to sell it, and just pass these excuses off to their friends like we believe them.

Not a flame at all towards the people mentioned as selling their cars in here...just a general gripe about a lot of people I know.

That can be the case. In mine the car was paid off and I wanted to free up the cash. I already had a clean '86 GT at the time. The problem was I was too spoiled by the way the Formy handled/brakes and it made me not like driving the '86 GT either, so I sold that a few months ago....Our situation was/is a little different as well as we moved from NJ to NC and I wanted to have liquid reserves in case one of us had trouble finding a job etc....

I never had an issue with the practicality of my FBod. I thought it had a fair amount of useable storage space and I was pretty comfortable driving it....

I was at the same cross roads as well...

But now the car is in the garage, covered, paid off and for fun driving only. It's loud, obnoxious but it makes me smile.

At this point, I have no interest in ever selling it becaue I've owned it since it came off the carrier with 17 miles on it.

If I wasn't attatched to it, I'd probably get a 03-04 Z06, but I still love the looks of the T/As.

To each his own I guess.

garage has A LOT to do with it too....Had a had a garage in NJ, things may have been different. Now, having a 2 car garage here, it changes everything....

I would love to get one of those new Z06s! But with my budget my best hope is a used 02-04...

I might decide to get an "american" FWD forced-induction car for daily driver (I kinda like the Ion Redline) and then keep the Mustang for street/race duty..

I'm getting like JS.. I can't make my mind up.
