Question another ses code

the code is P0420 "the PCM has determend that the catalyst system efficiency for bank 1 is below threshold for the current engin opperating conditions."

is it possible for my cat to already gone bad after 2 weeks?

and if it helps any i just replaced my front o2's with rear vett o2's and i ahve a catted Y pipe with stock o2's in the back. and once my ses light came on the car felt a little sluggish.

Front and rear O2s are different. Put the correct ones in.

what? what do i need to put in the rear? evoryone on here has told me to put rear vett. o2's in the front but noone has said anything about the rear o2's.

You're correct. Don't worry about that. I don't know what your exact problem is but the rear vette O2's in the front are fine. I have the same thing. I put stockers in the ORY pipe(for some reason the MAC Ypipe had a bung for the rear O2's). Had no problems.

Only thing I can think of is make sure you don't have an exhaust leak near the cat/02, connections good, wires not damaged/hitting the exhaust anywhere. Maybe try switching the rear 02's and see if P0430 for the passenger side shows up???

im just going to get them deleted. i found a local guy that is on this forum that said he can do it. thanks guys.
