Default PP the Stock Heads?

I've been looking at the Patriot Performance $1400 LS6 Package and trying to decide it I ought to just have the stock heads PPd instead. I live in Herndon, (Northern VA), if anyone knows a good performance shop for porting. What will it cost for PPing the stock heads and reassembling with upgraded valve-train parts, and how much flow (or HP) am I giving up? What'll it cost to upgrade to forged connecting rods while the heads are off?

For the price it costs you to get yours ported and polished, id say just buy from a company that does lots of lsx heads. Theyve done plenty of work and had plenty of research and feedback which a local shop likely cant touch. Check out PRC and TEA heads as well, as theyre comparibly priced. You can always sell your stock heads for a couple hundred bucks depending on the condition.
