Default Picture of TSP's ported oil pump?

I ordered one from them, took it to the shop that was building my engine so they can throw it in there, and when I got it back it seemed a bit "rusty" on one side. One side looks prety new(or like it was cleaned), but the other has rust on it. I know that TSP uses brand new LS6 oil pumps, so wondering what is going on. I am thinking the machine shop might of "accidently" switched pumps on me. Anyone got pictures of theirs? Was one side rusty? I cant remember if thats how it came. thanks

They all have a bit of surface-rust on the front cover as they come from GM out of the box. Thats what that moisture absorbant paper is supposed to stop, but it never seems to work right, especially in high humidity. The 'clean' side is aluminum so it doesn't ever have that problem. If its fresh, you can take a clean rag with some WD40 and wipe the outside and it should wipe right off. If its just discolored I wouldn't worry about it and install it as normal.
