is this thing supposed to be this loud?? it sounds like a friggin grinder!! actually, it sounds like there are metal pieces rubbing together inside really fast....like a motor w/ no oil!!! my rotary high-speed polisher is pretty quiet....it has a whine, but this damn thing sounds like its grinding!! any help??

Werd mine isn't that loud at all. You might want to consult with the manufacturer and see about adding oil or sending it back if something's defective...

Mines quiet. I would take it back and get another one. Sounds like a defect.
