Default works one way, won't the other?

today i was driving in the rain (an awesome time to drive these cars!!) i go around a corner and go to drift and the only wheel spinning is the RR. this was turning to the right. then i go around a left corner and try, and it works fine. so i'm wonder what the problem could be. when i try to slide it turning right, it starts to spin both, then the LR quits spinning and the RR takes off. Just looking for some help.

thanks,
bill

That is normal, the unintended side effect of the the lighter duty torsen that GM had designed is that in a tight righthand turn the unit can "unlock". That is why the autox/roadracers switch to the Torsen T2R as it never unlocks. You can lose a lot of time on a tight autox if you unlock a stocker.

it's just weird that i've never noticed it before. so it's possible to tail out one way, but not the other? hmm. anyway, do you have any links for a good place to buy a new diff?
