Default 1969 SS emblem pics *update*

went with 69 camaro emblems to try something different, what do you guys think be honest, the more i look at it, the more i like it, the grill emblem fit and curved perfect i was surprised, and yes it is a true 350, so dont give a hard time about being a 346 because its not. wanted to get opinions on it

Too many eblems if you ask me. Overdid the subtleness of the retro emblems IMO.

EDIT: and you just know your gonna get flack because it isnt a 350

I like the SS emblems but the script and 350 look out of place in my mind.

I like it, I dont think they look out of place at all. Plus they blend in with the color of your car - so good job .
EDIT - get rid of those side moldings .

yeah, the thing i wasn't really sure about was the camaro part, but i'm starting to like it, and if it wasn't a 350 i wouldn't had put the emblems on, but when i rebuilt the motor i bored it out to a 350, so know one can get me there in my case at least

I like it, though the 350 emblems may be overkill (and yes I read your comment about it being a 350). Did you follow through with the back? A Berger panel and billet grille would add to the look (though the WW grille - I think that's what it is - does look good) .

thanks guys for being honest and for your opinions, and yes i took a big chance, yeah on the back i'm doing the same thing as a 69 camaro, i have a extra panal at the body shop right, getting the camaro filled in, and putting ss emblem in the middle, i'll post more pics when i get that done

IMO, even though it is a 350, that badge is still a little much. I also think you should yank the side moldings and place the Camaro script and the SS letters above and below the molding line like Teri's fenders are, they look a little high up right now with the Camaro script and that would balance them out more IMO. It is a good idea though, but would take a little tweaking to make just right I think.

Its funny because just last night I was looking at my car and I decided to do something like that. I already have the retro Z28 badges but I wanted to use the camaro lettering because i *THOUGT* nobody had done it! Oh well, now at least I know what it looks like, and I like it.

They look good but they dont fit with the overall theme of your car.

Actually the bottom of the old SS emblems are slightly fatter. It's not real noticeable but I'm one of those **** people, what can I say. I didn't know it wasn't bolted on yet.

Anyway, can't wait to see that project completed. You always have really nice cars and I'm sure it's going to look great.

Hey, Teri, I love that color! Can't wait to see pics of the finished product. You said something about a roll cage? Is this going to be a racer or showgirl? BTW, 00PwtrSS, I really like the emblems on your paint. Makes you wonder though… will people be putting 4th gen emblems on new Camaros 30 yrs. from now?
