Default Misfire no codes.

Hey Guys I have been chasing a misfire for a while. The vehicle is a 2001 1500 with a 5.3. I had the engine scaned and it showed a mis on cyl #6.
So after that I changed all wires all plugs even the cly 6 injector. I tryed changing the coil on that cly, then I learned that some times it could be caused because of the cly before. I tryed that with the coil and no change.
None of this made any differance. I scanned it again to check o2 sensors, no proplem there. If the engine had a mechanical problem like a bent pushrod wouldnt the valve train be noisey ? Any ideas would be great. If I can't figure this out I guess I will h ave to take it to GM and get ripped off !!

my friend broke a push rod, only thing u could tell was misfire, took him 6 months to listen to me and finally pull the valve cover and there it was in pieces. its easy to check anyway. it could be broke and make no noise
