Any1 have an extra one? It was stripped out but now i dont even have the brass insert anymore, the mechanic i brought it to lost it. So i now i cant put it back in and JB weld it.... Do they sell them at AUtozone or something?

Part number 02601 at Autozone. That is if you are talking about the EGR block-off plug for the LS1.

You talking about the EGR plug on top of the intake manifold right? Just bought mine at Pepboys yesterday for 2.50. It's just a expansion/freeze plug. 1 3/8"

i just used a freeze plug for a couple of dollars from napa

No. Im actually talking about the brass insert helicoil thing for the intake manifold itself. the 10mm bolt screws into it. U know past 89 in lb and it strips out....that piece is missing. i was thinking about jbwelding it back in...but i can cuz its gone.

Ill probly end up the up getting the 1 3/8 expandable freeze plug tho...

thread revival...........anybody? im actually putting my egr back on but dont hass the brass insert. is there a certain part number for this?

No idea. You could try to use a heli-coil on it and see if it works. Why do you want to slap the EGR back on it?

the only reason is i am trying to sell it (going back to school) and i dont want the next person to fail visual.

If there is a way around it i would just leave it alone, but i dont know how bad massachusetts is compared to California (hard) and Florida (none)
