Default Which RearEnd??

I've done a search and couldn't find any solid answers... I would like to get the best bang for my buck if im gonna spend 2k+ for a rear i want it to last without any problems, i have abs and would like to keep it so the 9" is pretty much out. I wanna know what rear end is gonna hold up to some abuse with 4.10's The Strange 12 Bolt or Moser?? The Car will see little track time if any so it will be mostly be street driven with a DR. Anyone with a 12 bolt your input and advice is needed.

Both end up costing about the same once the are optioned equally. Look for GP or sales on rearend and you could save $$$. The Strange is a "drop in" and the Moser is "some" assembly required. The Moser is backlogged a lot less time than Strange. I chose Strange because of their customer service. My 12 Bolt was $2379.98, from Tom Byrne, with the LPW Aluminum Cover. I waited 8 weeks due to the Eaton and US Gear delays. I received it 2 days ago and looks great. It was easier to install than a 10 bolt since the bottom of the center section is flat and sits on a floor jack perfectly.

Use the search buttion there is enough threads here to say 12 bolts are a waist of money. If you ever plan on haveing a HP levals higher than stock. Just get a 9" and be done with it.

Good luck

I voted for the Strange 12 bolt. If you search the forums there are many people having problems with the Moser 12 bolts, and I know a lot of people that are having the same problems with their Moser 12 bolts. 1QuickTA had a Strange 12 bolt in his '95 TA M6 with heads and cam. He did 6K launches everytime at the track on the Strange 12 bolt and never had any problems with noise, breaking, etc. I'd stay away from Moser 12 bolts. 9" is really the way to go, but since your car is 3 channel and you want to keep the ABS that's not an option.

I just found this website, and from the way it looks they offer a 3 channel Ford 9" rearend. I didn't think any companies were making a 3 channel 9", but this one just might. If they do I'd get one of their 9"s over any 12 bolt. Do it right the first time. Heres the site:

Thanks for the site.. im gonna have to give them a call though it looks like all of those rears are by moser and after talking to moser there 9'' rear ends are not set up for 3 channel systems but it's worth a try.

I have been hearing that dana is coming out with a rearend for our cars. You might want to try and do some research on them also. Also shop around for the best price if you do decide to get a strange,I got mine from Billingsley Racing it was about 2300 not including shipping. They also carry the 9in.

Too for Scott At Driveline-Solutions I have one of his 9" rears and have not one bad thing to say about it.

I had a Strange 12bolt and it was Garbage sold it with in the 1 st year.

Scott produces one hell of a product you will not go wrong by chosing him.
My 9" is "DEAD QUIET"

I voted Moser. Their product and customer service are both great.
