what LT headers?

what LT headers?
What brand headers should I get?? LT's right? My friend with a 04 cobra talks a lot of **** and is very very cocky. Last time we raced with my mods now we were dead even twice. Should I get headers before the LS6 manifold? He thinks his cobra is the **** in the Bay so I'm really determined to smoke him

on a budget: get some pacesetter LT's and a catted y-pipe. i would say get an ORY but i think the GMMG will be too loud with no cats, but then again u might like it that way.
Not on a budget: get some QTP LT's and pick your y-pipe again.

its getting harder and harder to do that now. If you go with LT's and a catted y you would have to find a smog shop that would over look the visual part of the test. With a tune you can get by the sniffer but fail the visual part due to the relocation of the cats.

yea or just have to know a few people oh and if your friend thinks he's the **** of the bay, i know a whole crap load of ls1's and built 5.0's that would pass him like he was standing still... probably not my car... yet but ya know.... i ordered a set of pacesetters because my budget is rather low after h/c and all the little stuff so for the price im happy

If you want to go with the best get soom kooks they are top of the line don' worry about emissions just find someone who could pass you I don' have cats and egr or air i still pass.

so SSmoked99 your in the process of getting some headers and you ran even with a procharged TA. im confused with that one. maybe it was a fake procharger or somethin like a shell . not to be an ******* but i dont think your car should be able to run with a procharged TA. sorry

he said he ran a Cobra. the guy with the Cobra said he could be a procharged TA

guy sounds rather uneducated about cars in general.. ill hook him up with a race with my friends SS with ~815rwhp hee hee.. oh did i mention i am going with LT's as well... you can find a way around smog, just make sure you got some cats..

If you want to run with the big dogs you'll need more than headers.
Think BIG cam and headers,gears and the other **** in my sig. You will need more than exhaust work to beat a modded supercharged Cobra.

If you have the $$ definitely go with a set of Kooks. I just put mine on a week ago and the quality of the headers, and the fitment of them is unbelievable, they slid right in!! Not to mention the gains you will see will be much more than any other gains you will see from other brands such as Pacesetters with the exception of QTP's which are also excellent headers. But dont forget about Nitrous. Good luck with everything.
