Kinda stupid exhaust question.
I have hooker long tubes on my car, uncoated. One of my tubes going into the collector has a very substantial dent in it. What is the best way to repair this?? I can not reach it very well from the collector end looking in. What I was thinking was to just cut out the dented section, clean up the rust, and reweld a new piece in its place. Is that a good idea??

Its an idea. I had a header like that and i took it to a body shop that a buddy worked at and used his dent puller that welds small studs on the surface with out drilling it and just slowly worked it out. IF YOU HAD THAT OPTION ITS NOT THAT HARD just time consuming
