Question Couple of Detailing ??'ssss

I was wondering how often you with leather condition it and what do you use? I picked up some meguires leater wipes and they seem to do pretty well. Also what do you use on the dash, i know to stay away from armor all. Ive been using black magic very sparingly.

i use that brand of wips to. i like them alot. is hot here and can dry them out fast here in florida. like once a month. and they smell good to. i use black magic dash protecnt. but first i use a damp terry towel first to remove the old stuff. it just builds up if you apply to many time and looks like crap.

I clean and condition leather any time it doesn't look or feel supple/moisturized.

I use Zaino leather cleaner and conditioner.

There's nothing wrong with using Armor All on the dash if you like it's appearance (it's a water based product). *I* use Meguiar's Natural Shine once or twice a year and maintain it with Meguiar's Interior Quick Detailer with each wash.

I have heard that if you cake too much of it on with out removing it, it won't let the dash "breathe" causing it to crack. My dad claims that this is the culprit that cracked the dash in his 69 GTO. I have a hard time believing that though as I have seen many people using it for a very long time with no issues at all. I personally don't use it because it makes your dash look like an oil spill, just too shiny for me.

Back on topic, I also use the Zaino leather conditioner. Like Zaneo said use it whenever your leather doesn't feel soft or supple.

Lexol leather conditioner works WONDERS. I love that stuff. Also, I use Low gloss armor all. Dont use anything high gloss cause when the sun hits ur dash, it will reflect like a bitch off the window.

I use warm water with a couple of drops of Dawn and a sponge for the whole interior, then towel dry. Keeps it looking OEM without the high gloss look.

I put butter all over the dashboard. Nice, greasy, shine to it. And then for the leather, I pour milk all over it. Works like a charm.
