I have cut a 1.52 60 ft. on 26" x 11.5" x 16" ET Streets mounted on factory '01 Z28 wheels at HRP. If you are going to buy new ET Streets definitely get the 11.5" wide tires. They run a little smaller in size compared to the ET Drags.

1.57 11.5x26x16's
1.53 11.5x36x15's

But honestly I would have cut a low 1.5 on the 16's if I still owned them.

Hi guys, I am trying to decide what to do about tires for the car. My ET Drags are worn out. The Canadian dollar is in the shitter so I dont know if I want to shell out all that extra cash for Centerlines and Hoosier slicks.
Have you guys managed to get 1.50 sixties on 26x10x16 inch ET Streets?
I may buy a set to throw on the stock 16 inch rims and wait to get the Centerlines till next season. I wont get them though if I cant hit a high 1.4 or low 1.5 sixty with them. (Running HCI setup and 4.11s with spool and TP4400 converter.)
Thanks!
Chris

I saw CEndres cutting 1.55's.

Both of us has 11.5's.

I have with a 6 speed and have done it..pretty sticky track though. I would do slicks over them anyday though.

1.53 on 26x10.5x16

Chris, I think 1.50 is possible if you're setup for it underneath. The 1.53 was on stock suspension, including the flexy torque arm.

If you're not sure weather they can hold a 1.50, go with the 26x11.5x16's.

SSBOY, that must have been CARLSBAD raceway you made those passes on. Oh thats right do they even have 60ft. timers yet? I used to love Bakersfield, nice elevation , great starting line, awesome track, too bad its like 3 hours away!

I have hit 1.57-1.58 a few times (not consistently) on my old 26x10.5x15 ET Streets. Fully loaded pig on a completely stock suspension at the time (minus front swaybar). Those tires never had the consistency off the line as slicks though, so when I bracket raced I had to leave at a lower rpm to keep them consistent (1.70 60' range for bracket racing).
