I was wondering on a custom third brake light to...Can u buy one that lights up ws6 when u brake or do u have to custom make it your self. I was going to try to make it myself but there is a brown plastic piece that helps house the light socket in to place. Does any body know how to remove that with out braking or cracking the lense.

instead of buying one, i just went to afterthoughtsauto.com and bought a can of vht nite shades, bought some stickers from wallmart... put the letters in the order i needed them on the brake light and sprayed over it with the vht... it turned out really good. looked like it was blacked out during the day and just the letters would light up at night... you can have it say whatever you want it to say... just an idea

Actually last night i tried using window tint to cover the 3rd brake light on my T/A. didnt come out so good. its hard to get the tint to wrap around it that much without messing it up.

FYI - I dealt with the Custolight people a few months ago and they are a pain in the ***. They jerked me around for 3 months about a 3rd brake light for a T/A. They basically blamed me for their incompetence. I do not suggest dealing with them as the owner "Sandy" was very rude and refused to refund all of my money when I was told that it would be double the price for the part I wanted. Buyer beware!!!!!!!!!!

I had mine smoked. I had a friend at the body shop mix a tiny bit of black in with the clear...came out perfecr...the more coats you put on the darker it gets...
it doesnt look black in person, just a dark smoked red....I didnt like how the red stood out against the blue, it was too bright.

I have a Black T/A and i cant stand how the third break light looks on the yop of the spoiler, I am taking it off and either sprayin it with black and clear or just VHT.
