Hi all, I was wondering if it is possible to swap a 02 Trans Am v8 Automatic transmission to stick, the 6 speed one? I have been seeing many good deals on AT with low mileages, but the 6 speed manual transmission ones costs so much and the cars have high mileages too! If it is possible, would it be very difficult for a technician to do it?

It can be done, but anything can be done for the right price. Having a mechanic do it would probably be pretty costly.. why bother? You'll probably end up paying MORE to do a conversion than if you bought one with an M6 outright.

they have a kit on ebay right now for 1700 complete out of a 99 i did this to my 94 z its not hard and really its not to costly i even reprogrammed my pcm with a vin from a stick car and it worked perfect
