$505 for converter, gears, and cooler install, sound right?
Trying to get some info on installation prices, not saying they're ripping me off, but i'm just searching around to see if the prices match.
$225-250 for converter install
$200 for gear install
1 hr labor/($55) for cooler instal
$505 max, does that sound right for all this stuff installed?l

Hmm, you might be able to get it a bit cheaper than that, but as you know, every place can vary. I normally hear around 250 for the converter and tranny cooler installed together. You can do the tranny cooler yourself though and save that money like I'm doing.
It looks to be around the neighborhood of prices I hear.

thats a good deal. I paid 800 for installation of TC, cooler, gears and fluids. This was from the best driveline shop in my area. Here in Pittsburgh we dont have alot of reputable shops so I didnt shop around but went with the best.

Properly setup gear installs, where the mechanic takes his time and makes SURE its right, usually go for $250-300 around here. Converter installs are around the same, and that includes a trans cooler. I'd say thats a good deal as long as the mechanic doing the gears stands behind his work.

Aww install the cooler yourself man. It didn't take me but maybe 30 minutes to install mine, and that also included the time it took to make a custom heat shield to fit with my headers & the new tranny. It's very simple, spend that $55 on gas

I ran mine through the K-member on the passenger side, custom made a heat shield (my lines run right under the passenger side's header), tucked everything up, and used heat reflective tape on both hoses from start to finish. It's really a simple install, you don't have to drill any holes or anything. Mine took about 30 minutes to mount, clamp, tape, and make a custom heat shield, and that was with me working slow in the 105 degree heat. I'd go get some pics but it's a little dark outside
