Eastern Members - emmissions time

I got the letter from CT about the emmissions testing... anyone know of a place in central/northern CT that will test a cammed car with no AIR system and not start digging too deep? I'm not too worried about the DTC's, I scanned the car last time I drove it, no DTC's stored, so that's all set, more concerned about the visual. I have cats in my QTP y pipe, so that's not a concern.. more looking for someone that's not gonna know what tey are looking at under the hood so I don't get any crap about the air system that is gonzo.

Probably good too that I have the slicks.skinnies off the car.. I'm sure seeing that pull in would draw too much attenion for someone not to wanna take a good look.

P.M. me if you know of a place, and the hours that they are open, or a phone # of the place so I can just call and get directions.. I'm sure that they don't want it annouced that they don't look too close.. and I'd like them to stay testing for others like myslef, no need to draw attenion to them.

This saturday is kinds out, next saturday isn't gonna work either.. I day during the week would be easier.... not sure when is good for them. We can discuss sunday.

im not to worried as long as i find a place thats cool on the visual cus im not even sure where my cats are i think they are somewhere burried in my storage garage i havent seen them in 50k miles

Kinda the same deal I'm at... I have the cats on.. I just don't have the air system on... if they pop the hood, maybe they will notice, maybe not. Preferrably, I'd like to go somewhere that is gonan do exactly what they have to do.. plug in to the car, and look underneath it and see the cats, and send me on my way.. and never even pop the hood.

After I go thru emmissions.. I think a set of xr1 or bullet mufflers are gonna get bought, and a set of turndowns.. and they are going right onto the header, and that's gonna be the end of the exhaust... I'll save the y and catback for when I have to go back thru in 2 years, if I still have the car on the road by then. There goes 25 or more lbs :)

I have yet to see a center open up the hood. Hell the place I went too even complimented on how my car sounds. In and out in 10 minutes.

BTW Did you test your readyness on your car also? I think all the fields have to be ready or they cant pass you (they tell you to drive around a more). My EFI live pulls up the readyness stuff so I knew I was all set.

Where did you go.. they obviously are the kind of place I wanna go to. Where about's in CT are you located too? Surprised we haven't met up anywhere yet.

I don't have a way of pulling up the readiness stuff..... can your efi live scan another car's caomputer, or is that set to a VIN #? I'd just as soon make sure that I will be in and out and not have to go back if possible. Lemme know.. maybe can meet up somewhere soon, I gottta get it in in the next couple weeks or so.

I'll PM the places name that I went too. EFILive is not vin locked, I could use it on any car. Me and my friend share our Edit cables and EVIlive cable. If you want to scan for the readyness I just need to know since he has the cables right now. It would only take me a day to get them.
