Default What Size Bolts To Use with Yank PY3600E?

OK, I did the search, but still came up with no answer.

I'm about to install my new PY3600E and SFI Flexplate. The new verter has (6) mounting lugs vs. the stock (3). Since I want to get 3 more bolts anyway, what size (strength/thread/length) bolts do I need to get? I know the stockers are metric allen head but I'd rather go with hex head. I don't have the previous verter out yet so I thought I'd pick up the bolts ahead of install time.

So anyone out there with a Yank 6-lug verter, what bolts do I need to get?

TIA,
-Jay-

Thanx for the reply - I only went as far as to remove the top packing mat'ls and the verter from the box - didn't see any bolts there - maybe they are under the lower packing - I'll check when I get home!

OK, I found the bolts that came with the verter in the bottom of the box - they appear to be 10mm x 1.50 x 1/2" long.

The TCI LS1 flexplate I bought has .447" thick bosses at each bolt area, so the verter supplied bolts aren't gonna cut it as they will only engage by about 2 threads

I guess I'll have to find some bolts a leetle longer but not too long as to bottom out in the verter lugs. I also noticed that the holes for the bolts in the flexplate are very sloppy at a measured diameter of 12.5mm - I assume this will be OK?

If you have any recommendations for bolt length, let me know (or I guess I can call Dave during the day)...

I would have used the bolts that came with the verter - but they are only 1/2" long - were only engaging by about (2) threads max using the TCI flexplate due to the thick bosses around the mounting holes - the 20mm long bolts are approx. 3/4" long - could have probably gone to 1" long bolts and still not bottomed out in verter mounting lug tapped holes - just wanted to be safe...
