god, tht things a bitch to get out! it took only like 10 minutes to get the front bolts off. and another 30 to get the back off, and im still not done....damnt i need to quit my job! lol

I hear ya. I did mine last night. My arms are all scraped up by that damn heat shield on the manifold. I spent over an hour doing it last night.

did you try unbolting the bracket from the block first instead of trying to take the alt off the bracket while it is still attached?

eh, i've only taken it off when the car is on a lift, so i can't really comment, but i'd imagine it'd be a bitch. it helps having LTs.

yeah, i dont even wanna know how i would have reached the back bolt with the stock shorties. the lt's freed up a LOT of room in that area.
I almost got it off tho, then the new one goes in!!
Now i have to buy another 02 sensor, cause i can't find my bosh spare i had floating around. I wonder if autozone sells what i need.
Will i need an extender for the driver side header?

You gotta have SMALL hands to get to that back bolt. And there's just barely enough room to get it out between the PS hose and rack&pinion lines. I thought I was gonna have to drop the sway bar to get it out.
