Default PCM swap

i couldnt find anything in search, and this is just a real quick question.

I have a 2000 Z28 that is origianally a 6 spd car. I was wondering if i could put a 98 PCM in it and have it work?

in order to put a 98 PCM in you're going to have to change some sensors, get a new wiring harness, etc... which would cost you more than getting HP Tuners ... I'd check to see if any of your local buds would want to go in w/you for HPT ... since it includes 2 licenses you may want to split it to save money

as mentioned, 99-02 are plug and play... but 98 is the red headed step child...
