Default I want others to "feel" my car.

One day, I was riding in my duty vehicle (Dodge Stratus) while one of my coworkers was driving and a Mustang GT went cruising past me very slowly after leaving a light. His car very noticeable vibrated the floorboard of the car I was in and I could feel it all the way up to my knees. He didn't sound cammed or anything, just exhaust mods I guess.

Can an F-Body do this and what would it take other than a true-dual setup?

dual cutouts for the open headered feeling and sound. although a nice 402-408 would do that nicely..

Dual cutouts as said

Basically any exhaust setup that points towards the ground or at the other car will vibrate stuff.

An F-body with a medium-sized cam and some true duals with bullets will do that. I hope you're aware that this same "vibrating" sensation will also make the car VERY loud.

Thing is is that this Mustang wasn't loud, very very deep sounding though, stock cam at that too!

I don't think it's possible to make our cars sound as good as a Mustang. It's a shame but true. They do seem to sound deeper without being louder than any f-body I've ever heard.

I have the SLP loud mouth exhaust with the quad tips. It was fine until I put on the headers and ORYP. Now it shakes the ground and about everything behind it. I had to put two dynomax bullet mufflers on it. It is still loud but only above 3500 rpms.

I think that is personal preference, but for the record, I have never had anyone tell me that a mustang sounded better than my car (I have duals dumped at the axle). And for the amount of vibration it puts through my car, I imagine it rattles other peoples as well, and I am just talking about the car idling

I know exactly what you're talking about and I've never had an LS1 F-body give me that kind of feeling before, LOL. And I've heard every set-up imagineable (including tons of true duals). Some dual set-ups come close, but in the end the cars are more loud than "DEEP." Don't get me wrong, some of these LS1's (mine included w/ LT's + GMMG) sound very good, but just don't sound as good as other V8's on the road...

I've definitely felt this before from some 5.0's and LT1's...Heck, I'm sure my LT1 w/ Mac's & an open cutout has vibrated more than a few cars before (it's very deep sounding).

It's not the volume, but more about the bass IMO...

The reason Mustangs sound so good is because Ford did one thing smart in their history and that's installing true duals from the factory.

Like many have said here... do dual cutouts on the y-pipe. That's what I am currently running. I usually always leave them open unless it's raining/early morning. I have a h/c package and that makes it even more vibrant. You can hear me loud and clear at constant throttle. But when I go WOT, you can REALLY hear it. It's loud as a **** and sounds like a Nascar ripping the road up... That's no lie. I have some great footage of street racing where you can hear it for yourself as soon as I can get the vids from my buddy.

Raised compression also thumps you in the chest. Something about a heads/cam setup (cam lope aside) that pounds you harder.
