DAMN those 03 cobras are fast!! I raced an 03 cobra for the first time yesterday from about 30 - 120. I had never raced on of those before but damn they are quick. It was a really fun race but that cobra had a little to much pull for my M6 00 WS6. Im not stock but close to it. I dont say this very oftern but that was one bad mustang. This kinda thing give so much incentive to do even more to my car. If you have not raced one of these guys you need to. You may loose depending what you have done to your car but i guarentee you will leave there saying im gonna kick that guys *** next time. Thats the fun part. 00WS6 vs. 03 cobra, we will meet again.

yeah...id say your a set of long tubes and a cam away from competing with one of those things. i would lose dig races by about half a car or so with just long tubes and exhaust...role races wouldnt be much better...they would just walk in 3rd and 4th gear....than came the came and intake....total differant story after that...
..after 2nd or so its all she wrote and the ws.6 is way out in front. than ya gotta have the nitrous as back up for those pesky kenne bell equiped ones...

yeah, ya cant think that they are too bad when you are nearly stock, remember, out of the factory, they are over 1/2 a second faster then you in the 1/4 and pushing 90 more HP, and when your nearly stock, you can be running with them if they are stock, but all they need then is a new supercharger pulley, and they'll have you again, get your headers, and a CAI then you wont have a prob w/ nearly stock cobras

The 03 Cobra is by far, the best modern Mustang ever made. That thing pulls, handles and is just plain MEAN! It doesn't hurt that it doesn't take a lot of money to mod it into Vette/Viper running status.

My dads got an 03 Cobra... Chip, exhaust, pulley.... I have no chance..
Those things make so much freakin power with a couple mods.... I love those Cobras

This is by far my favorite stang... i've owned an 88 Vortech supercharged GT stang and a slightly modded 01 Cobra before i got my 03.... All it took was one ride in my buddy's chipped/tuned/pullied 03 for me to go 2 months later and trade my 01 in... best move i ever made.. i'm getting my KB 2.2L on any day now.. just waiting for a few more mods to
come in... i can't even wait to see how nearly 600hp is gonna feel going from just an exhaust system and cai to a KB.

They are pretty bad ***, but a hand full on the street for the average driver. There is a guy here that runs 10.90 at the track but cant beat a mid 11 car on the street. But never the less they are mean as hell.

Its funny I found this thread i just got smoked by a Cobra last night after the track! Ha fun stuff... I'm pretty much stock..Nero Zero Perilli tires Air Lid and Hooker Cat-Back. I ran into the guy at the track because my boss has a 03 Cobra as well and we stopped by to talk to the guy and he ended up smoking my sorry *** on the way home. Its all good tho.... That S/C screams like crazy...pretty intimidating.

The 03 and 04 have Earned their respect. They should be given it.
I have wanted to run one (knowing I would lose) just to see how bad. I still wouldn't trade my ride for one but they are mean.
BTW, I saw a covertible one a week ago at Walnut Lake in W Bloomfield and the thing had off road pipes and definately some engine work and the way it shook the windows at my moms house driving by in 1st was very cool.
I liked that Cobra a lot.
