Default Prowler???

Well anyways as im driving down the freeway today cruisin at bout 80 ish, this Yellow plymouth prowler comes up the entrance ramp and gets on. Im a little eager so i get on it a little to catch up. Well there is a 17-18 year old kid in it with a chick. He i tried egging him on a few times but he had no part. Whats up with these cars. They look funny but are they fast? Think i would have taken him. Weird that a young kid in a prowler wanted no piece. Must be that Borla o nthe stock LS1, lol

From what I have heard prowlers are damn slow, they do have two less cylinders than us though. Maybe he knew better and didn't wanna get embaressed in front of his girl.

I heard that the front end design with those flimsy fenders are not made to handle high speeds and will shake.

Maybe that is why???

I heard they are made just for show. They weigh a ton and have no pwer to back them up. I also can't imagine them having any real power adders. Maybe a SC or NOS could make it "quick".

I was sitting at the stoplight on 21 and you were on gratiot i htink it was going down towards Hall Rd. You went first and got on it a bit threw the intersection, I heard a nice chip. Let me know if you saw me. Car is in sig. Later

Might have been me since I do tend to go and cruise Gratiot often on the weekends, but I don't remember seeing your car. I try to keep an eye out for any cars I notice off here and your rims would probably give it away easily. We'll have to meet up sometime though.

I love prowlers. Always have. But yeah, not a race car by any stretch of the imagination.

I'm with Crabhart, I think the Prowlers are really, really cool looking throw-back cars, unlike that dorky other car that I can't think of the name of but you see alot of them. They did a great job with the look of the car, just not very fast. If they put the SRT-8 Hemi in it than you'd have something. very unique car that stands out in a crowd with ***** to back it up.

I'm thinking you mean the PT cruiser? Test drove one of those once. all the acceleration of a speeding snail and NO interior space.

I'm not sure you could fit a V8 in a Prowler. the hood get pretty narrow pretty quick.

Yes the damn PT Cruiser! There's a guy in his late 40's early 50's I know at work that has one, blue with the little chrome Torq thrust wanna-be wheels and its always spit shined. I think he thinks he's got something. I feel like telling him, dude don't you know that's gay. But I don't have the heart. I figure if he's happy, all the power to him...or lack of. As long as he's happy I guess...

its an awsome car what are u guys talking about. it is under powered but look at the hood i dont think it could fit a much larger engine than the six thats in it. but there is no other car that looks like it cept some hot rods which are bad ***.

i HEARD, not sure if its true that a hemi (not the new one) fits in them and has been done. the howler concept a while back had a v8 in it but they changed the look around and it was ugly.

4 cylinders in PT's correct? I mean, 6's are somewhat torquey, no redeeming value to those little 4s. The best optioned engine for them is the same motor in the SRT-4.

I love the prowlers, think the they look cool as hell, but they have nothing under the hood. A 6.1 hemi would be a fun addition.

But yea, anyways, speed wise they're nothing special. I've seen times range from high 14's to mid 15's trapping around 90mph. I guess they'd be a good race for a stock 3rd gen tpi f-bod or 5.0 stang, but an ls1 is in a completely different league.
