Destroying my transmission??
From the time I got my car I always thought it was on and off with when it was actually fast. Today I realized that was because I wasn't hitting the throttle fast enough ( I always slowly stepped on it). It's alot more fun to drive this new way but every time I hit it like that and It takes a second to rev before it takes off I feal like I'm destroying the car . Is it safe to drive like that??

after educating myself on trannys' I'd have to say no...now i'm still a noob but after toasting mine this weekend (yeah i fucked my **** up) i did some heavy research and it's just one of those things actually slippng cluthes (smooth shifting) is more damagain than getting on it and slamming the gears... I'm having a shift kit installed in my new tranny to toss some harsher shifts in there and give a littel more life to my tranny.

So you want to know how much abuse they can take?
It really depends. Some handle more than others, but it also depends on your driving style. As long as you aren't hammering it everywhere everyday, it will be okay for a while. It isn't the strongest tranny, but then again, most trannies aren't built to handle 300+ rwhp all the time.

What's up[ with ls2.com, well actually what's with ls1.com by the way?
And from what I hear it's better for the tranny to shift from 4 to 2 than from 4 to 3 so would punching it even harder in 4th be actually better for the tranny?
