tiny black spots on door molding

Default tiny black spots on door molding

I have a couple vary small black dots in my door molding anyone know what would cause this?

If you are talking about the side door moulding on the outside, just thank GM for another fine quality piece. They dull and rot out fast, so the perfect solution is to take it off.

Use some laquer thinner to take it off. When I bought my car from someone, the side molding pieces were almost pur black, my car is red. So I took some laquer thinner on a rag, rubbed lightly, it all came off and looks brand new. didn't hurt a thing.
