1st and goal

Well I finally got the "Tomato" to the track last night and the best part was that I was able to drive it home :)
First pass:
It left pretty good and I actually got a C/H of air on the left front tire as the guy who took pictures got a pretty good launch picture.
cut a 1.587 sixty ft and up to 6,000 rpm it went and then it shifted from first to third and then a few seconds later the torque converter locked up and it still cut a 10.962 @ 127.33
Next pass:
Disconnected the t/c wire so it will not lock up and changed the shift points in an effort to actually use second gear......didn't work...left hard again and cut a 1.590 sixty ft and up to 6,000 it goes only to again go to third and I ended up running 10.929 @ 128.21. At end of the track my boost gauge died as I blew apart the vacuum hose that goes to the gauge (easy fix).
Third pass:
Lined up against a yellow Cobra (the real ones - most likely a kit car version but the old style not a Mustang) and I spanked him :D
Cut a .535 light to his .830 and cut a 1.667 sixty ft to his 2.181 and I finally sorted out my transmission issues by letting the computer do the 1/2 shift and manually shifting 2/3 but a new issues (well recently occuring) reared it's head and it was breaking down at high rpm at the top of second and third but it still managed to run 10.800 @ 128.01 to the Cobras 12.417 @ 122.40
Fourth pass:
Kiss of death occured when I found someone to video tape me :bang:
I worked on a wiring issue to solve my high rpm breakdown issues and got distracted by yapping away with my big pie hole and forgot to tighten up the clamps on my intake tubing......
Left decent and cut a 1.680 sixty ft and at the top of first the intake tubing blew apart so I just cruised it out and still get a pos S-10 with a stellar 14.5 @ 85
Decided to give it one last pass and by 9 the track was dead so I left soft and cut a 1.778 sixty ft and ended up running 10.910 @ 128.84 but again had the high rpm breakdown issue rear up again.
But hey I did have fun, won every race and drove it home and to top it off I used a raincheck from one of my LS-1 race days so it was FREE :hump:
Not bad for pump gass passes with 17#'s of boost as I put a larger pulley on the blower to spin it a little slower as I went through a few sets of head gaskets.
Same bat time....
Same bat channel.....
