Default Finally!! Koni/DMS installed.

Okay, here's a quick before and after comparo. I just got everything installed today and I haven't even tested it out yet. But, I plan to!
I like where the car sits right now so, I hope it doesn't settle too much. I never wanted my SS to look slammed. Just a little lower. I'll ad some better pics later but for now, here you go.

I didn't do it myself. I'm not a wrencher. I know an actual Chevy/GM mechanic (at my local Chevy dealer) who does stuff for me on the side. Dropped it off at 9:00 this morning on my way to work and he was done by noon. Paid him $120 cash. Fair deal IMO.

I just snapped that one before I left the office yesterday. Didn't have time to set up for better pics.
I plan on taking some more pics this weekend (if it doesn't rain). I've got some straight profile "before" shots, so I'll duplicate those when I get to snappin'.

Looks good. I have been leaning more towards the DMS springs. I think $120 for the install is a good deal. I have heard the fronts are a PITA. Let us know your thoughts on the ride after you have had them on a while.

$705 plus shipping for the Konies from Sam Strano. $169 plus shipping for the springs from DMS (GP).

Looks good. I was like you and didn't want too much of a drop. I went with BMR springs and it ended up being just enough for me.

Car looks great

each car will be different. My BMR kit looks pretty close to a pro kit and it should sit higher

Give it a few days and im sure it will settle down lower. If not move the spring perch to the lower setting on the koni's.

Mine has settled a lot since the install. Also, wildz, you've got 18's I'm running 17's w/ 285/40's. Also, I don't know if anyone else has this problem but, the driver's side of my SS sits a little higher than the passenger's side. I've seen more than a few pics on the site (showing off their CME's) that, apparently, have the same issue. With the stock shocks and springs, my SS sat about one inch lower on the passenger's side. I thought when I installed the new stuff it would solve the problem. It did, mostly. Now it's only about 0.25 in. lower on the passenger's side. Probably not noticeable to anyone but me. But, bugs the hell outta me if I think about it.
