Default Thermostat question..

I have a 160tstat and im replacing my waterpump, the new one has the stock one and the t-stat is cleaner, can i just trade out the spring etc from my 160 to the stock one, or does the housing contribute to the 160? the only reason i wan t to do this is so it doesnt stick out on the pump

Default .

Thermostats are so cheap theses days just buy a new 160 stat. if you're really in need of the current 160 stat just wash off the dirty one and try it.

yep the springs/ diaphragm is what makes it 160.
