Default Difference in 98-99 Lids versus 00-02 Lids

Hey guys,
I bid on a lid a couple of days ago, and I realized that it is for an 00-02 LS1 Camaro, not a 99 Camaro LS1 that I have. Yea, I realize that it was stupid and I should have read more, I guess I got caught up in the excitement. I was curious, what are the difference in the two sets of years, will it be that drastic that I will not be able to install my new intake (should I win the bid, hopefully not), or will I be forced to resell it on ebay. Any help is greatly appreciated.

~Mike

The AIR. Just get a breather filter for the hose going to the lid or remove the whole AIR system.

I just checked, and I dont see any provisions in my stock air box for an "AIR" system. Perhaps you have it backwards and the 00-02's have it, while the 98-99's dont?

Hey thanks, so if worst comes to worst I'll just plug it up with a breather or a cap or something. My 99' doesnt have AIR pumps. Once again, you guys are great, thanks.

00-02 have air tubes connected to the lid. 98-99 do not. no big deal you can use the lid for all years.

I'm in the process of removing the A.I.R. system on my 01.
I was looking at the 98-99 lid on SLP's site and it looks like there is some type of plug where the breather hole is on the 00-02 ?
http://www.slponline.com/view_product.asp?P=21044
Is this the case or is the picture misleading ?
I was going to buy a new 98-99 lid but if I can figure out what type of a plug this is like the one in the picture I might just do that.

98 and 99 use that hole for the IAT[intake air temp. sensor].Click the SLP link and hit install and it explains the removal and install for the IAT on 98 and 99 models.
2000 and up have the breather and the IAT.
