Default Ordering today ... cats vs mufflers.

MAC ORY ... to eliminate rasp and maintain good exhaust flow, what's best to weld into my ORY:

12" Magnaflow(Car Sound) cats OR 12" Borla XR1 race mufflers?

Will there be much flow difference between the two? I've been to ls1sounds.com and the sound isn't much different. I've searched, but, cannot find a comparison that's decisive.

If you're gonna weld in cats, why not just get a catted y?

And the borla would go further down in your ipipe.

I think the TSP catted y uses carsound/magnaflow cats.

It doesn't fit up to me MAC mid-length headers. It's made for LT's. I did just find something that I think would be better than Magnaflow cats OR Borla mufflers ... Random Technolgy high-flow, round metal cats for the 2005 GTO ... only problem is they come welded with the entire exhaust section ... doesn't look as though I can buy JUST the converter s themselves. I'll probably have to call Random Tech tomorrow. I have dealt with them before and they can most likely make provisions to sell just the cats.

702504/05 is the model number they list on their website of these GTO cats ... seems they ship only the entire pipe section with cats welded in to their distributors.
