What does MAF sceen look like (pics?)
I would greatly appreciate it if someone could post a pic of the MAF screen. Im pretty sure mine has been de-secreened and is running lean (and getting detonation) from it.
If it has been where can I get a new one?

You won't be able to just get a screen. They are basically just punched out and cannot be reused. A desceened MAF is usually not enough to cause a lean problem. If it's ported, then that could cause some headaches.

I see no reason why descreening your maf would cause you to run lean. I'd look elsewhere, like if it was ported or not. If you can see that it was ported then I'd try and find some maf ends from a junkyard. Getting the whole maf might cost a lot more. Or just pick up a whole new one and sell the actual maf on here. If it's not ported then you have some other porblem. It could be quite a few things.

Thanks for the replies.
Alright here's the deal, I have the same problem here:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...ghlight=rattle
Sounds just like he described, little bebes or pebbles hitting somthing metal, and only occurs at WOT around 5000+RPMs, and for me I noticed its really only when its hot out, it has never done this in cool weather.
I always run 93 octane, am running synthetic oil (if that even matters), and my car has 41,000 miles on it.
So if anyone is still reading, what do you suggest?
