Hello, well not even had my tags for 24 hours and already a problem. I was drivin pretty good until I got onto the hwy. Well I get her up, do a 1-2 (pretty quickly but not all out throttle, could have been higher than 2nd gear, everything happened so quick) shift and *pop* I see smoke in the rear view and she wont move, so i pulled off to the side made a few phone calls. Tried to start her up bout a minute after and she didnt turn over. I waited a lil while longer, she started up and sounded fine, I then proceeded home to base for bout 10 min at 40mph. What do you think could have happened? Probably a lot of stuff, will hit up a shop tomorrow. Can't believe this happened, well actually I can.. it was hell getting the car, I'm not a very good luck kind of person. I just got sick over it and my head was splitting ugh!

Also the rear-end is pretty whiney(before this happened even, in all gears).

I may have more information if you ask questions, sorry I have a migraine and had to post this up before I go to bed.

is there smoke from the tail pipes when you sit and idle now?
sorry to say this dont sound good ...
where did you buy it?
it might fall under a lemon law....

who owned the car before you...the gear whine could be aftermarket gears....the pop...happened on my friends LT1 after he did headers and full exhaust. but disappeared after it did it twice...dunno what to tell ya man. if ya can give some background of where you bought it like jaberwaki said...it could help.

I believe it was this site or LS1.com. From SpeedDemon, it doesn't have aftermarket rearend or gears. It hast Mac Mids/ Hooker catback, heads/cam and other bolt ons... said it was due for an oil change. I'll send him an e-mail today.

I will check for smoke this morning, it was sputtering out water out of the left tail pipe while idling as well.

No smoke in exhaust, motor seems to shake but It feels the same as it did before. No "check engine" light is on either. There is a security light on, whatever that is for, alarm?

if you bought it from a private party i dont think the lemon law applys...

the best thing you could do is get someone with hp tuners or autotap to log time drive time... from part throttle to WOT...
post the logs and we might be able to see whats wronge with it
