Default More pics of carnage from the LS1 (big pics)

Now that the motor is out, I got more pics from when I threw the rod.

Hole is right behind the motor mount.

and a couple shots of the new 370. It should be ready to go this weekend or a few days after

Not bad at all for damage mines was worse. I had a whole like that on both sides of the block #1 and #2 sides of the block had holes like that also blew a hole in my oil pan. New motor looks really good. Is ur car a 98 or a 99? I picked up a 04 LS6 last week waiting on my LS6 intake and oil pan so i can put the new ls6 in my car. How did that damage happen to your car?

My car is a 98. The block appeared to have had a crack on the water jacket side of a cylinder. When I inspected the motor before I installed it, I did not see it. Crack worked it's way through the cylinder and I suppose coolant got down to the bearings.
