Default Poly mounts installed...GOOD

Just installed the poly mounts. Really nice. With my cam and even new mounts..the thing shook like crazy, shifter looked like a vibrator when in neutral! Motor looked like a heart beating under the hood. Now...nothing. Nice. Small vibration in the steering wheel. Seems I lost even more traction but man the shifter and motor rock like a stocker and the car shakes less. Really nice. Pain to install though. The power transfer is instant as well. You gotta do it if you havent yet. Autozone sells them now.

Hey man just pay REAL close attention on how they come out. They offset to the front or rear if you put them in wrong. There is a long and short metal piece sticking out of each end. Youll see it. There are great though.

What side was easier JayplaySS2? I'm thinking of doing at least the drivers side real soon. Im still kicking myself for not doing it when I had the heads off. Ever since I did heads and cam I've noticed the motor rocking alot more.

I put a poly mount in the drivers side clamshell and left the passenger side stock and there is no movement or shaking whatsoever with a TR230.

Driver is easier, but make sure you disconnect your battery and if you have LT's they have to be taken out through the front near the alternator. FUN. Pull the alternator and its easier. Ac comp comes off for the other side. They were $19 each at autozone! I DO NOT reccomend the trans mount to be poly....it makes the worst driveline vibrations through the driveshaft tunnel. Feel great though. If anyone is near Ft. Lauderdale I can get them installed here for you. Good luck.

I just put the poly tranny mount in last weekend and oddly don't have any problems with vibration. I'd like to do the drivers side motor mount pretty soon though, because I'm getting alot of rocking from the motor.

So far I've only replaced the trans mount with the Energy Suspension one and no vibrations at all. More info here.

Do you guys say you need to pull the alternator to get the long bolt out or is it to get the mount out? I was looking at it from under the car and the mount itself looks esay to slide out, but that bolt may not move all the way out without hitting the alternator. Maybe the alternator could be swung out of the way just a little? I plan on doing the drivers side then maybe the other if need be. Any tips would be appreciated.

Are the autozone mounts as good of quality as the ones thunder racing carries or are they the same ones? Thunders are Prothane Polly Mounts.

Autozone carries the Energy Suspension which are the same quality. No worries there.
AZ will probably only have the black color though, so if you want red, you may have to order it.

Just pull the alternator competely...it only takes a few minutes and it really opens up the work area.

I've never pulled this alternator. Is it pretty easy?

3 bolts. you don't have to take it all the way out. just take the bolts out and move the altenator out of the way.

be prepared for the worst pain in the a_s install you have ever performed. Very little room to twist out the mount bolts.
