Had to be a stock ZO6. On my way home and i come up to a ZO6, helays into it, sounded nice, but i know the stock exhaust sounds good alone. Anyway the ZO6 takes off and i give chase, every time i would get ready to pull up next to him he would punch it and take off. Well finally we get on a long stretch of highway here in California, but he is still in front and im on his *** in 4th gear, this time im anticipating him trying to play the "you are'nt getting around me game" So i hear him nail it and at the same time i put my foot though the floor and damn neared hit his rear bumper, getting on and off the gas to prevent my front bumper becoming apart of his rearend now i switch lanes to try to set up a 3 honk race and as i slow down next to him, he acts like a lil bitch and takes off running scared anyway guess he was too affraid to actually start at the same time.

I have owned a 2003 cobra that had all the bolt ons and i have a 2002 z06 now. i think both of them are pretty even. if you take a stock z06 and stock cobra i think the z06 is faster but with bolt ons on the cobra, and heads and cam and bolt ons on the z06 i think they are pretty even. it is just up to the driver who wins pretty much. thats just my opinion.

AmMscl, settle down man... it's not that big of a deal and he wasn't bashing Z06's. He just happened to run into one with a driver who wasn't a street racer or who didn't want to line up.

I've known you for awhile now (I guess if you don't have the time to sit behind your computer and post everyday...people get forgotten around here ) ....We had our ups and downs and I really don't think your in any kind of position/ right to call names.........besides that Cliche' is getting old "Vette owners like...blah blah" My Z is always down to run head up (win or lose) so far only a stripped CRX with 23psi (400+RWHP 2000lbs car) pulled me.

A KB Cobra is a little too much for the Z ...right now! I had to stop the build up to buy a house and in Socal and thats not cheap...just happy to still own it for now. I've ran a few Cobras with full bolt ons 490-500 RWHP cars and came out on top, but thats a little different from KB Cobra (maybe a KB ZO6 might surface next year ).

No I don't think alot of myself, but I do of my LS6 2002 ZO6 is a real trooper.

BTW the 2.3L remark is my low dollar project car......88 Turbo coupe motor in a 89 Coupe with 20psi...should run in the 12s real soon.

No doubt.....Vetts or actually ZO6s seemed to be a target for bragging rights, but a lot of times these kills are not clear to whether the owner of the Vet was racing or a racer. Or maybe just trying to avoid a 150+ MPH run on a public road to prove a point. Some people run for a small sprint and let off........I ran a 55 AMG Benz.... and let off after pulling 2 car lenghts in one gear .....just enough to prove my point.
Rolling up on someone in Cali (riding their bumper) is enough to rattle anybody's nerves and then trying to get next to them....There has been shootings in LA for that(...especially when you run up on them as he did) The Vet might have just been trying to avoid the Snake
So when I see a Z kill posted I challenge it ...if they are in Cali I'm willing to give them a true run! Besides, if BlackSVT's Cobra is a runner......why didn't he just run down the Vett when he was next to it and the Vet jumped???
