Default Oil Temperature Sender Install

What size drill bit and tap is needed to install the Autometer Oil Temp sender in the plate just above the oil filter?

Thanks
Bryan

I would think so. As long as you can thread that sender in there it will work.
By the way, in case anyone is interested the drill bit was 21/64" and the tap was 3/8" NPT. I'm pretty sure a 11/32" bit would work too but I spent an extra $3 to buy a cheap 21/64". Made for a very joint.

i have the z06 pan and that little housing where the oil pressure temp goes i can just swap them i believe they both come off i dont need the pan so i guess i should put a oil temp gauge in my car. How hot does the oil get ur your motor?

It seems like it takes a while to warm up. I took a drive today and it stayed at 185-190 for a while then went up to about 210-215. It was pretty hot here today, so not sure if that makes a big difference of not with oil temp.
