I believe the 00+ are supposed to flow better then the 98-99. I don't know if they have a larger diameter or what.

The 98 and 99 are double walled tubular and pretty restrictive. The 00-02 are cast iron and flow better. I can't comment on cars other than the F-bodies, LS2 for example.

The LS6 are different and do flow better than the 00+ f-bodies. Awhile back CHP did a comparision of ls1 manifolds(not sure of the year) ls6 and a set of 1 5/8 and 1 3/4 headers and the ls6's only flowed a little lower than the 1 5/8. I can't remember the numbers but it was's much.

01 fbod header on a 99 fbod will fit. Should look a bit better with out the egr fittings too

It's funny, I have a pair of later model cast manifolds in my garage that I was going to swap my 99 manifolds with. I was going to do it because the car was under warranty, but now that the warranty is over, I'm going to go straight to long tube headers.
