Ok which gas is better? I mean I thought lead in gas incresese the pinging?
I know it is not good for the cats and the Sensors, But lead in gas incresses the octane this I know. So what incresses the pinging?

it decreses pinging by slowing the burn time of the gas

Does this slower burning fuel increase torque?

You cannot run leaded gas with stock 02 sensors you will kill them after a tankful of leaded gas.
You have to tune to your octane for max power, you just can't tune on pump gas and then put high octane in you r car and expect more power.Usually you will make less power with high octane if your not tuned on that fuel.Leaded fuel burns cooler and slower then unleaded fuel also.

Tetraethyl lead had plenty of energy content
(carbon & hydrogen count is like octane) so
it slows burn without costing you power. But
in an engine that doesn't need it it's only more
soot, and not nice soot.
The other thing lead did was keep valves from
chowing into old unhardened-seat iron heads.
But ours don't need that.
When the O2 sensors die you will spend some
time with a pretty messed up fueling situation
before (hopefully) it just sets a light and goes
open loop. Then you hope your open loop tune
can stand on its own without much correction.
Not all medicine helps you.

Thanks jimmyblue! that was just what I was looking for. getting into an argument with a RX-8 rotory guy and leaded fuel.

But leaded fuel smells soooo good...

Lead only existed because hardened valve seats did'nt...
the best GAS is VP116 or C16 etc... Ethanol alcohol beats both and is relatively easy to convert to. Methanol beats Ethanol at the track but unpractical on the street and eats fuel systems.

Leaded fuel is NLA, even VP race fuels no longer contain lead.

Umm go to the airport..
110LL means 110 low lead... Its pretty much just some AV gas these days..
