What converter to run with Ls1 th400

What converter to run with Ls1 th400 I got a heads cam ls6 intake 30# injectors th400 reverse manual valve body. Right now the caonverter Ihave been running is a TCI super street fighter 3500-4000, with anti-blooming plates. I run a 3.23 gear and a good shot of nitrous. The problem i was told is that the converter is not locking up like it should. Suspension consist of bmr k member a arms ajustable tq arm lower control arms and relocation mounts.Best 60ft so far is 1.67. Any thoughts or ideas that could help. In the 1/4 mile once I shift to 3rd the rpms stay within 5800- 6200. The tranny is brand new and does not slip. Any help would be great thank you.
