Default patriot springs

I got a used set of patriot dual springs from this board last week. they are going on my car tonight. I need to know if I NEED anything else to make them work. i have the dual springs with locks, retainers and valve seats(dark grey things that look like smaller retainers.

You'll want new stem seals and the necessary tools.

for inquireing minds you can use the stock seats with the duals. my springs sit flay on the seats. now I just need to make sure I actually have a g5x3, there is nothing written on it.

Did you mic the setup w/ stock seats and Patriot retainers to see what installed height you'll have?

Not sure how you got to the conclusion it's OK to reuse stock seats w/ aftermarket springs, but if it's been proven to work and the manufacturer says it's OK then it's a step saved.

As far as reusing seals after they've been installed and removed, just go ahead and dump a qt or so of oil into your throttle body. Same outcome.

That is the equivalent of trying to do 1/4 (404 meters) and stopping at 399.
Get seals and change them.
and if you want sound advice, get yourself a set of 850-16 Comp Cam lifters and replace those too.
Then you can say I did a complete H/C swap and it rocks.
