im not exactly sure about the newer ones, but I had a 91 B4C and it came with a posi rear, 3.42 gears in an auto, trans cooler, oil cooler, stiffer suspension, and no governor.

b4c = hardtop no option z28, without badges. pm "Cop car" for more info, he is a friend of mine and is very knowledgeable about b4c cars, he has 3.

exact same engine, exact same suspension. beats me. the b4c he currently drives went 13.35 @ 104.5. it is stock as stock can be. full interior, spare tire, jack, etc etc. and it was one night he made 14 passes at IRP of all places - with 136k on it. his other 2 aren't as quick. because one of them is totaled (i so luckily got to ride shotgun on that one) and the other..we don't know. i just think his white one is a freak and the rest are "normal".

there is only a 60-80lb difference between his 2000 b4c and my 2000 z28. i have t-tops and all the options.

Road Rage - Is the exterior of the car red or was that the interior. I have a 98 B4C (OK Hwy Patrol) and the dealer that I bought it from mentioned that the B4C's with the factory red paint are VERY rare.

Only 4 B4C 2000 Camaros in Red…according to productions numbers listed at camaroz28.com :judge:

For 2000, RPO B4C was a Z28 emblems deleted car with very good suspension and other minor upgrades. From the factory, they were regular production LS1 motors.
GM says 245 were auto and 9 were six-speed. They never released official body/interior color combinations.

what tires does it have on it? Goodyear GS-Cs are very good tires...
you got a fairly good deal on the car, my Artic White car was thrashed on for almost 140k and it still runs... LS1s are extremly stout cars. how bad is your interior messed up? did they give you a full center console when you bought the car? some of the cars have holes drilled in the dashes, which sucks bad, hopefuly you didnt get one of those.

The B4C engine is the same as the normal Z28--always. You get different rear end gears, that's all. (3.23 vs stock 2.73).

you could get a Z28 with 3.23s
A4 B4Cs all have 3.23s though
he was saying that there is no such thing as an "SS" motor... there are just LS1s...no diffrences...

A B4C Camaro has nothing on it that would make the car any faster. The only difference is it has a heavy duty alternator, deleted Z28 emblems, 1LE lower control arms, standard 3.23s on A4 cars and standard Goodyear Eagle RSA tires. I have driven a stock 200 mile M6 2002 B4C and it was no faster than any stock ls1 car i've driven. I've also seen a bone stock 2002 A4 B4C run 13.50s@102 at my local track, not really nothing out of the ordinary. From my personal experience LS1 cars vary greatly on the RWHP numbers they put out.

B4Cs do not have "1LE" control arms, unless our 98 V6 also has them...

I've seen the 1LE lower control arm claim several times across the net. I know for certain that it's not part of the B4C package itself, but maybe it's covered by another code sometimes found on B4C's. The info I have on RPO codes is too vague to know.

i measured my LCAs, and then that of our 98 V6 car, identical in every way..

How are the 1LE arms different anyway?
Cop Car

no clue
i know LT1 cars had more diffrences than the LS1 cars B4C wise, and 3rd gen cars even more so

109,000k HARD miles on it. And it was probably not just one guy driving it either. ALL the cops probably got a chance to beat on it really good and hard for a while...
I hope you are a either a VERY good mechanic or really lucky with cars because ALL cars will break down if beat on for a while.
